I build the web apps and Shopify stores growing businesses run on.
I’m Luna, the engineer behind Blue Nebula in the San Francisco Bay Area. I design and build SaaS products, marketplaces, AI features and Shopify storefronts, and I take over codebases other teams left unfinished.

What I build
Most projects fall into one of these four, and plenty cover two. I build every one myself, from the first call to the years after launch.

How a project runs
You approve a written plan before any work starts. After that, you get a preview link every week and can click through what’s been built so far.
Step 01
Discover
A call about what you need, then a written scope with a fixed price.
Step 02
Design
Wireframes or a clickable prototype you review before any code is written.
Step 03
Build
I build in small pieces and send a preview link every week, so you can try each feature as it lands.
Step 04
Launch & grow
After launch I watch for errors and keep improving the product. Several clients have stayed on for two to three years.
Ways to work together
Project build
A defined scope at a fixed price, agreed before work starts.
Rescue sprint
An audit of the code you inherited, then a focused sprint to make it stable.
Ongoing partner
A monthly retainer for new features and fixes after launch.
What clients say
Luna was impressively clear and organized in communicating the amount of work that would be required. With previous contractors, we have felt that the work was a mystery… This was not the case with Luna! We jumped up in google rankings overnight with the new website.
She was able to get up and running in my codebase quickly. With very little visual design from me, she was able to elevate complex sections of my admin system from very basic and raw screens to beautifully designed and usable interfaces.
Luna is an excellent React developer. Luna’s performance is great and the code quality is amazing too. I highly recommend and will hire again in the future.
We hired Nebula to build a chatbot for our website and they delivered beyond our expectations. The project was completed on time.
Who you’ll work with
Hi, I’m Luna.
I started as a front-end developer at Dolls Kill, building pages and checkout features for a busy online store, then went independent. Since then I’ve built the platform behind Grubby AI, an AI writing app with more than 1.6 million users, and Shopify stores for brands like Cypress Clothiers. I also take over products that other teams left half finished.
Blue Nebula is my studio, and it’s small on purpose: the person on your first call is the person writing your code, and still around when you need the next feature.

Common questions
Something else on your mind? Email mail@bluenebula.dev.
How much does a project cost?
It depends on the scope. Every project starts with a free estimate and a written, fixed price, so you know the cost before any work begins.
How long does it take?
Shopify builds usually take 3–6 weeks, and a first version of a custom web app 4–8 weeks. You get the timeline in writing with the estimate.
Can you take over code another team started?
Yes. I start with a short audit that covers what’s risky and what to fix first, then stabilize the code and keep shipping. I’ve taken over a marketplace from another agency and turned prototypes into production apps.
Should my store be on Shopify or headless?
Most stores do best on a custom Shopify theme: it’s faster to build and easy for your team to manage. A headless store, with a custom Next.js front end on Shopify, makes sense when you need a fully custom experience or a lot of editorial content.
Do you work with clients outside the Bay Area?
Yes. I’m based in Daly City, CA and work with clients across the US, all remotely.
Who will I be working with?
Me. There’s no account manager in between: I write the code, and you talk to me directly.
What happens after launch?
I stay on for fixes and new features, either as needed or on a monthly retainer. Several clients have worked with me for two to three years.
